Welcome to our website
Thanks for taking the time to check out our page. This
website is the project of five Northampton Community College students who are
the participants of the Student Leadership Class of 2009-2010. We would like to
extend our gratitude to the staff at the Monroe County Head Start who helped us
pilot the program.
On this website you will find links to a pre-school lesson about worms,
copy masters for making a worm felt board, background information about worms
for teachers, how to set up a grow lab in your classroom, and how to use worm
compost in a garden.
Mission
The mission of the students involved from the Northampton
Community College 2009/2010 Leadership Class is to encourage kids to create
less waste through worm composting. In addition, kids are encouraged to use
compost to create a garden at their school.
