Conduct & Appearance

An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty will be called when a player indicates resentment of a call at any time, disrespectfully addresses an official, criticizing an official's judgment, continuously call challenging (questioning), attempting to influence in any way a decision of an official, uses profane or insulting language or gestures, or threatens or taunts a player. Officials under rule must under no circumstances permit unsportsmanlike behavior to occur without a penalty. after calling unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, verify that the scorer has recorded the offending player and penalty on the score sheet for commissioner review, upon multiple unsportsmanlike penalties or any one unsportsmanlike penalty having merit, disqualify the offending player from further participation. after any palpably unfair act clearly to prevent a score, award the score.upon any player making any contact with an opponent which is deemed unnecessary, assess an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, and upon any player making any contact with an official which is deemed unnecessary assess an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and automatically disqualify the player from further participation.

All players, officers, and officials during any GAA scheduled activity must comply with league rules and act in the best interest of the Gentlemen's Athletic Association. Any team or player violating league rules, criticizing the rules of the GFFL and GAA, or not acting in the best interest of the GAA subjects himself or his team to disciplinary action. Disciplinary action may take any of the following forms: Player Suspension, Player Disqualification, Game Suspension, Disciplinary Fine (Rebate Reduction), or Membership Revocation. The Gentlemen's Athletic Association, Inc. is a regulated amateur organization. Therefore, players are forbidden by rule to profit from any athletic activity in the GAA and must play for pleasure only. No player at any time may remove or wear clothing in such a way that would display bare upper torso or under garments.
