Textbook

Select the correct book you wish to order, based on your area of specialty (Preschool) or (Infant Toddler). Textbooks are purchased directly from Teaching Strategies, Inc. The links below will take you to Teaching Strategies, Inc. website.

Application Packet

The Packet contains all of the information Candidates need to apply for the CDA Assessment. Packets are customized for the type of child care setting:

Preschool Packet is for candidates working in a center-based setting with children 3-5 years old.
Infant/Toddler Packet is for candidates working with children from birth to 36 months of age.

Packets contain two copies of the CDA Competency Standards Book; instructions and instrument for the observation; scholarship information; parent questionnaires; and the application form.

Please make sure you choose 1 (one) Application Packet in the setting you are working in.

An application packet for the type of credential you want to receive can be ordered directly from the National Council for Professional Recognition or from the NCC Bookstore.

Follow these easy instructions when ordering online at the NCC Bookstore:

Select A Campus Term - North Campus (and semester Fall, Spring or Summer)
Scroll down the list of Departments to locate either ECDA-Early Childhood and then click on 1111 (for monthly start) or Early-Early Childhood Education and then click on your Course and Section (for semester start)
Select the appropriate packet for your area of specialty and add the packet to your shopping cart.
